WAAMPlanner
A flexible environment for tool path generation

1. Import
Using established file formats (parasolid, step, etc) import your existing CAD file into our platform.
2. Slice
Whether your part is single- or double-sided, set layer height and slicing direction, and find your part automatically sliced.

3. Segment
Depending on your chosen building approach, draw segmentation lines that divide your layer's contour into building blocks. Thanks to layer grouping, segmentation is applied throughout similar layers.
4. Generate
Tool-path plans are generated automatically, based on your choice of material and build strategy (oscillated or parallel deposition, whenever the default single deposition cannot provide you with sufficient thickness).

5. Receive process parameters
Depending on geometry, material, and deposition process, our Material Keys automatically populate your tool-path plan with all primary process parameters. Automatically-generated multiple sets of process parameters cope properly with variations in thermal mass, keep layer height under control, and avoid lack-of-fusion defects.
6. Post-process
Depending on your chosen deposition process, our post-processor automatically translates the tool-path-plan into a printable file that's sent to the printer's controller.

8. Print
Calibrate your workpiece, check everything is good to go, and start printing!
The Basic version of our WAAMPlanner is suitable for the deposition of simple shapes and enables deposition with up to six motion axes. The full features list is shown below. WAAMPlanner basic is available only with academic license for educational and/or research purposes.
The Advanced version of our WAAMPlanner is the most advanced tool-path planner available on the market today. It supports deposition with up to eight motion axes right out of the box, as well as ancillary processes such as machine-hammer-peening and machining. WAAMPlanner Advanced is available only as part of an integrated turnkey WAAM3D systems.
