WAAM3D is pleased to announce the installation and commissioning of two Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing systems at the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) facility in Disputanta, Virginia. This milestone marks a significant step in establishing WAAM3D’s technology footprint in the United States and supporting the growing adoption of WAAM solutions across the U.S. market.

IDMEC/IST — the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, and one of Portugal’s leading research centres in mechanical engineering, materials, and advanced manufacturing — has acquired a miniWAAM® system from WAAM3D.

WAAM3D is delighted to announce its official membership with the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM). As part of this strategic collaboration, WAAM3D will deploy the first RoboWAAM system in the United States at CCAM’s advanced manufacturing facility in Disputanta, Virginia. This milestone marks a significant step in expanding access to pioneering WAAM technology across the U.S. industrial and research sectors.

WAAM3D today announces a leadership transition as Filomeno MARTINA steps down from his role as Chief Executive Officer after six years at the helm. As one of the founding members of the company, Filomeno has helped shape WAAM3D from its early academic roots at Cranfield University into the thriving commercial entity it is today. 

Accuron Technologies, a global precision engineering and technology group, has announced an additional investment and the acquisition of a majority interest in WAAM3D.

We're pleased to announce the sale of a RoboWAAM Advanced to Industrial AM, Norway. This brings the number of deposition systems sold since 2020 to 19, reaching as many as ten countries globally. Industrial AM is owned by MOMEK Robotics, Testpartner and Kunnskapsparken Helgeland and works with petroleum, process and mineral industry, aquaculture, and power industry customers to deliver more sustainably produced large-scale metal components.
